by Greg Mackie

That big ball in the sky,

Is a hunk of burning rust,

And that dancing dust –

Red iron ore.

The particles,

Those proud and pudic,

Brownian bustlers –

Silently side step,

The emotionless others,

In a solitary,

(And slightly sad),

Soft shoe shuffle.

Do not collide.

When it rains,

They get trapped together,

And caked together,

And the water,

And the heat,

And the forced contact,

(Once they get past that intitial moment of embarrassment),

Makes them fertile –

For a while.

And from that caked mass,

May shoot a stalk or two of garish green,

Bold and bright, on a burnt, bleached land,

Bold like the green of a gangrened hand.

And garish,

Like that hunk of burning red rust,

As it burns and it bleaches and it starches and it leaches –

And until that final dusk,

Dries them back to dust.

    Hey you!

Right I’m back in the game 🙂 have missed being involved in Artipeeps. How is everything going? Just have the Photography exam to get through on Tues and Wed then I can get right back into it. Love the new logo as well!

I’m painting today and trying to get people involved by taking step by step shots of the painting and asking for feedback on twitter and Facebook. Lets see how it goes!

Feel free to comment and RT 🙂
